Try this exercise.
Name the thing bothering you the most right now. Don’t think about it - as soon as you read that statement, something immediately came to mind.
Now ask yourself why that thing/situation/person is upsetting you. If you have a pen and paper handy, write the reasons down.
Now ask yourself why those reasons matter. Why do they bother you? Write those answers down.
Keep questioning, each time writing down what comes to mind.

After a few rounds of this you will discover that what you thought was bothering you is really a symptom of a deeper issue. The deeper issue is the real weight you are carrying.
Identifying the real problem, rather than the triggers, releases some weight immediately. It’s like that feeling you get when completing a 1000 piece puzzle and you finally find the missing pieces. The puzzle remains, but you can see what action to take next.
Now that you are focused on the actual problem, your brain will automatically start trying to solve it. Trust the process, then take action!
