Seriously - take a minute and really think about it. Write them down.


My guess is you have a BIG list.


A list that is probably IMPOSSIBLE to accomplish when you try to do it all at once!


A list that can NEVER be realized because you can’t control every variable, even though you try! 

Now ask yourself:

  1. Are all of your expectations the same level of importance?

  2. Do they all have to be done NOW?

  3. Do they all have to be done by YOU???


My guess is NO.


We are all guilty at times of tying that superhuman cape so tightly around our necks that we can't breathe! Especially when you care deeply about the results.

Here’s the truth: You can care deeply and still breathe. A reality check on expectations will help you get the important stuff done and save your sanity. Here’s how:


  1. Determine what is truly important. Make that your focus. 

  2. Try replacing some expectations with intentions. Intentions allow you to still aim for awesome goals, but take the pressure off of HOW you get there. 

  3. Give yourself some grace. You’ll deliver better results if you are gentle with yourself and work from a place of calm confidence. You’ve got this!
